Nato a Colorno (Parma) forse nel sett. 1559, morto a Roma il 28 nov. 1611. Studiò legge, ricoprì cariche di notaio e segretario cardinalizio, fu fatto cardinale da Paolo V e in seguito vescovo di Viterbo.
